Frequently Asked Questions about Levitra®
What is Levitra?
Like Viagra and Cialis, Levitra is in a class of sexual enhancement medications known as PDE-5 inhibitors, which are used in impotence and erectile dysfunction treatment. Bayer is currently selling Levitra worldwide.
What's the normal dose?
In clinical testing, most men were administered one 10 mg of Levitra per day. Levitra is available in 10 or 20 milligram pills. We recommend buying the 20mg pill and splitting it. This is the most economical way to use this medication.
What's so good about Levitra?
It's very easy to use. Levitra is taken about half an hour before any sexual activity. Because it's a more effective product than Viagra, Levitra starts working up to twice as fast, and continues working for up to 24 hours. By comparison, Viagra has a 4-6 hour effective life. It also works for more people. In tests Viagra was found to work for 63% of people that tried it. In the same tests, Levitra was found to work for 90% of people that tried it. It also has few side effects (see next question.)
What are the Side effects?
Like all sexual enhancement medications, Levitra may produce some side effects. These side effects are generally mild to moderate in nature, and usually go away within a few hours of use. They include headache, dyspepsia, dizziness, back pain, and or muscle aches.
How does Levitra work?
Levitra acts in the same way as Viagra, by blocking an enzyme called PDE-5. This is concentrated in the smooth muscles of the penis where its normal function is to inhibit erection by degradation of cyclic GMP, the mediator of erections. Levitra, Viagra and Levitra all inhibit PDE-5 resulting in increased blood flow in the penis in response to sexual stimulation. Basically, smooth muscles in the penis relax and widen and this allows for more blood to enter. As a result, you gain erections faster and easier with Levitra.
Is there any medication that shouldn't be mixed with Levitra?
Yes. That's why it's important that you list any medication you are currently taking on your review form so that the physician who writes your prescription can make an informed decision.
